I am on a search – The Dalles Photography
I am at a point with my photography where I have a yearning to find that specific type of photography I love. Especially with our most recent move to The Dalles. I have enjoyed all of the weddings that I have been a part of and growing in that field. With every wedding I become more and more excited and continue to find my style. I have also loved taking the maternity photos and showing off those momma’s bumps. Being able to be a part of another family for an hour or so to get pictures of their newborn and other little ones has been a joy. Listening to a newborn’s coos and watching them sleep only brings back some of the best memories of me and my little one. The senior portraits are fun because of these young kids getting excited to start a life out on their own and pursue a career. What should my focus be as I keep pursuing The Dalles Photography business?
Give me a moment to explain about finding my niche for my photography here in The Dalles. I’ve loved being able to take pictures of all of these things, but I have a desire to be more specific in the area I photograph. I want to get really good and excel at one specific area. Does that mean I won’t dabble in another area? No. I would gladly take on clients that want me for another type of photography session. Does this make any sense? I want to have a niche that people can really enjoy. That I can really enjoy.
Here is the problem. I have multiple areas of photography that I love. How do I find and discover my niche? For now, I think the best solution is to keep on taking pictures in all of these areas until one of them jumps out at me and starts calling my name. I am excited to figure this out and I hope you will come along with me in my journey. Help me figure out what my niche should be.
