A Budding Spring | The Dalles Spring
As I sit outside in the backyard watching my toddler discover new things day after day, I have been looking at the trees and plants. They have been budding for the last several weeks. Some of the leaves popped through the bushes or trees while other ones have been slow going. It is spring! Spring and fall are my favorite seasons. I want them to last forever, but without the summers or winters these trees won’t bring me there fruit. The seasons must continue. I will capture them with my camera and hold onto the memories.
The other day you could start to see the colors of the peach and apricot blossoms coming through the buds. I have been anxiously waiting to see them pop through and to smell that wonderful scent. I grabbed my camera and headed over to these small trees to stop the buds in a moment of time. The wonderful thing about photography is being able to stop time. The beauty of the budding tree can be remembered, but life can still go on.
This made me desire to see what the cherry trees at the orchard up the hill were looking like. I don’t want to miss them popping out. I’ve been having this desire to head over there on a photography date with my husband. It is always fun to see how two people see life differently through the lens of a camera. For now, I will leave you with these images from my backyard photo excursion while I wait for the orchards to catch up.
