The Dalles Photographer
Finding my Branding
I recently decided to step out on my own as a The Dalles photographer. Instead of always being a second photographer for a wedding or an assistant during portrait sessions, I wanted to start show casing my own talent and love of photography. I have always been alongside Thirty Five Media as a second wedding photographer. Being the one capturing the bride-to-be and her friends getting ready is something I have always loved. I also love seeing the groom’s reaction as he sees his bride for the first time whether it is when she is coming down the aisle or a first look session in the hours prior to the ceremony.
On several occasions, I was given the opportunity for my own portrait sessions while under Thirty Five Media. These were the times when I was able to get creative on my own and have my own vision. When I did my first maternity photography session, I was starting to really understand how my own style was developing. On other occasions, I was a second photographer during portrait sessions as well. This allowed me to grow under the help of a more seasoned photographer.
I am still a Thirty Five Media company, but I am running my side of the business. This allows us to still collaborate and pull each other in when needed. The other plus to this was finding my own new branding. I had ideas of what it should look like and I wanted it to be done by a professional. I am not a graphic designer although I’ve done a few small projects for my personal blog and various other things. Trust me, I needed some help. This is another great reason to be under Thirty Five Media. I get some amazing professional work that is done under the same company. Thirty Five Media’s graphic design work has been a favorite of mine. I am looking forward to seeing more of it in the years to come.
