I’m so excited that you’ve stopped by to find out more about me!
Let us just start off by saying I love to write, but I honestly do not think I am good at it. That is why my blog page is titled Ramblings. I do it anyways. There is just something about writing your thoughts out that can bring a sense of satisfaction and happiness.
I’m a wife to the best husband, mother to a busy three year old and a minimalist at heart. If I could, I’d get rid of most things in my house, but I married a hoarder at heart. We find a good balance. I call myself a marathoner, but lately my body and running haven’t gotten along. I have this crazy desire to run a marathon in all 50 states. I still have 42 to go! I still love running, but I guess my body just needs a slight break. I’m learning to be ok with that. Everything has its time and this year a marathon was not in the books.
I am in love with seeing new places and experiencing new cultures. There is so much to learn from others and their ways of life. I have been able to go to places around the world that I never even dreamed of going. I don’t travel enough, but I enjoy being at home with my little family. Traveling together is the best. Our next trip is coming up soon to Hawaii! We can’t wait to explore Kauai soon!
I have a deep desire for community. I love hosting people at my house whether it is for dinner, a cup of coffee or a tasty dessert. Other ways I connect with people are hikes (exploring the outdoors) and running! I love getting to know new people which is probably one reason I like photography. You can learn something from every person you meet if you just take the time to listen. I believe God put this desire in us all. He created community for us all.
I wanted to talk to you all about him, because he is a huge part of who I am. He balances me out because I can be a little stubborn sometimes. He is usually my second photographer too. The love I feel for him is the love that I want to capture in each of you. I want to see your undying love for each other throughout your relationship. I see the importance of spending time with the one you love throughout the days and years. Making time for each other is the only way to continue to grow together.
Because of this, I have fallen in love with couples photography. I want to capture the style of love that you have for each other. Each couple is different and I want to dig into what makes you a couple and capture that. I’m in this for the long haul and that is what I want to see in my couples as well. I am all about this marriage thing. I just love it!
